This is a simple wooden Tau, it is the habit of the eFO when we are at work in the world

Rebuild my church

In imitation of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with his servant, Francis, "we pray
for the grace to serve God, free from fear, to transform the Church and to conform it to that Body, Christ's own, to which it belongs."

Day 9.

 Admonition 6

Of the Imitation of the Lord

Let us all, brothers, consider the Good Shepherd who to save His sheep bore the suffering of the Cross.

The sheep of the Lord followed Him in tribulation and persecution and shame, in hunger and thirst, in infirmity and temptations and in all other ways;1 and for these things they have received everlasting life from the Lord.

Wherefore it is a great shame for us, the servants of God that, whereas the Saints have practised works, we should expect to receive honor and glory for reading and preaching the same.

1.See John 10. 11, Heb. 12. 2, John 10 4, Rom. 8 35

For whom did the Good Shepherd suffer? He suffered on the Cross for his sheep; his Saints who though as yet unborn were nevertheless claimed by him as his own

Christ bore the suffering and shame of the Cross to reward those saints who followed him, each in their own time.   They received everlasting life from the Lord because of their suffering in his Name.

Therefore we, who have not suffered in his Name, ought not to expect reward for merely reading and preaching about the Saints.
